  19. You know...
Until now, one of my favorite ads was the one with George Clooney on it (Nescafé Nespresso) because of his ironic smile.. Right now, I´m daydreaming about a Nespresso ad with Hrithik Roshan´s modeling in Armani´s brand (why not?) sipping a strong and hot coffee, , looking directly at the camera and trying to convince me to join Nespresso customer´s club.... With all my due respect... Bye, bye, George.

  27. hola
probar las capsulas nesul, a mi me funcionan perfectamente.

  28. theres one thing im not getting here, for a normal, barista made shot, it should take al least 25 seconds, the guy just said in 15 seconds (from putting the pod in the machine to the pump turning off) you have the perfect espresso, wouldn't the espresso be under extracted and not a full bodied? how can one achieve that without cheating? Just my two cents....

  29. For me, in the lead for making The Worst Coffee In The World is the United States, followed by the UK. I do not understand the "latte" - it's just milk! To use an old phrase - where's the beef? Best? Italy, Portugal, Spain, Austria (different style), France. After my friends' Nespresso machines, I'll stick to La Pavoni. Pull her handle right and she sings. But without the right coffee, you'll play all day and get nowhere. Correct crema should be the result of quality coffee, not mechanics.

  30. @reefturkey Yes, but how talented is your tongue?

    ReplyDelete
  31. @midcitygym Elekta, La Pavoni, Vibiemme, Quickmill, ECM - all make good machines mostly around $1,000-$2000. La Spaziale Vivaldi II is good as well $2000+ . Grinders, over $400 at least. Baratza Vario, Mazzers...super jolly, robur, rocky if on a budget. Don't listen to regular folk about whether Nespresso is good, trust an expert. Nesp is also more expensive, wasteful, the coffee selection is controlled. Give you money to farmers and learn the craft vs make a corp rich and create waste?

    ReplyDelete
  32. @reefturkey Yes, but how talented is your taste?

    ReplyDelete
  33. @midcitygym unfortunately there's nothing (on the market) that will give you an espresso with a quality comparable to a pro machine. You can buy a small pro machine from a professional machine manufacturer, like LaPavoni... that's exactly the same thing used by pros, just smaller.

You're probably gonna spend a fortune on the machine, on the grinder (you'll need a good one) and on the coffee.

So, having an espresso at your local coffee bar still makes sense, in 2010, to me.

    ciao!

  34. @gotecki what machines do you recommend?

    ReplyDelete
  35. I was skeptical like dan, did not realise the creama looked so good.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I live in Italy, so I'm quite used to the Italian espresso...
The crema produced by Nespresso pods is quite strange, looks like there's a foaming agent...

I mean it "looks" rich but it's way different from the kind of crema produced by a professional machine.

Taking into account the cost of the machine AND the pods... I think I prefer to spend 0.60 / 0.85 Euros for a REAL espresso served in a HOT cup.

    I'll try the Illy "IperEspresso"...

Anyway, thanks for the video! :)

  37. sorry but i have no knowledge on coffees. ):
but im very interested in coffee machine and always wanted to try making. :D does anyone knows what does he means by the "particular part"? o.o which has golden, blue, brown, green, purple, etc.
is the content inside powder or liquid form or isit just a metal piece?
does the diff colours represents diff flavours? O:

  38. What is the difference between a Nespresso machine and a regular expresso machine, other than the fact that you can't use other brands of coffee in it? Does it produce better or worse quality coffee than a similarly priced classic expresso machine?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Why don't you try NexPod? Find out more on nexpod.com

  40. look CINESPRESSO on you tube

  41. Pods are crap! Therefore this machine a piece of junk.

    ReplyDelete
  42. @presspass
Try descaling and let the air out of the machine by pulling the lever 95° up and pressing the coffee button without a capsule in the machine.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Total waste of material.
When all the world is talking about sustainability and ecology, this product generates an absurd volume os garbage, to prepare only a single coffe!
Shame on the inventors, that didn't think in our planet when created this "high volume waste producer machine"
