I got this machine for Christmas this year and find the taste of regular coffee just ok. I have also a Cuisinart espresso machine which I use regularly for cappucinos and espresso coffee and the coffee taste from that machine is much, much better. If you want the best tasting coffee you have to do a little bit more work. I always grind the cooffee right before I make it. But for convenience, the Tassimo is fine.
Dude! Thank you so much for posting this! I absolutely hate my Kuerig because it does not steam milk for fabulous cappuccino's! My girlfriend bought this and recommended it highly! I'm going to go ahead and buy it after watching your vid! Thanks, I'm convinced!
My Tassimo Machine wont make the coffee come out. I put the disc in and nothing comes out after doing the steps. Help? Is there anything that is above the disc when its in the machine so it cuts it?
Well, as you said in your review here, if you prefer espresso only, go for the Nespresso system. Well in case you didnt know, Nespresso make the Lattissima machine, with excels in making milk drinks using REAL milk. So, I know where my coffee is coming from.
I love my Keurig but I really wish it was able to make milk products. I wonder if in the future some sort of milk k cups will be released for it. As of now, I just brew some strong coffee and add my own frothed milk, no big deal.
I really like it. I actually use the reusable filter "my k cup" for most of my coffee. Works great. I drink the Costco house blend beans. Its been a really great device.
It came with a variety pack and from that I liked "coffee people donut shop" . I have a few boxes of Van Houlte to drink through and they're good. But apparently the Coffee People Donut Shop is the top rated on Amazon.
However, the advantage Keurig has over the Tassimo is an even LARGER variety in coffees and teas, as well as it seems to be easier to find the K-cups instore versus the T-discs..
@audisport Thats a tough call, they are ALL fantastic, and it is totally dependent on your personal needs. For the expresso/latte fans I would suggest the nespresso as that is its specialty, but when it comes to Tassimo vs. Keurig its again personal preference. Both the Keurig and Tassimo make fantastic cups of coffee, yet the Tassimo is the only one that can also make milk products.
